Vinný ocet je kyselá tekutina vznikající octovým kvašením vína (bílého nebo červeného), při kterém bakterie přeměňují obsažený alkohol na kyselinu octovou. Používá se především v gastronomii k dochucování salátů, omáček a marinád.
